Leaders inspire and align people towards the achievement of a common vision, transforming dreams to reality.

The Leader archetype is a dreamer, doer and effective communicator. This archetype emphasizes introspection and follows through with the remaining eleven steps of purposeful action. Actions of purposeful leadership are aimed at serving others. Actions of leadership are “inside-out,” the opposite of that of an entrepreneur.

The leader envisions a desired state, forms it into a clear vision and, after assessing the situation, commits to achieving the vision. Leaders emphasize Phase I and Phase III of purposeful action. Leaders acquire power and influence by virtue of their shared vision and steadfast commitment to it.

The attributes of leaders in various aspects of action and in different circumstances are provided, along with extensive case studies of individuals leaders as well as organizations in the new book, “Purposeful Action: A New Framework for Leadership.”
